Saturday
Study date with durga at bishan library
Afternoon: Went for sec 4's baptism at sentosa. Took Uncle jon's car there. was seating at the backseat ;) super fun. Val finally back from hk! ;D whoo~ played touch rugby our team rules! hahah and cedric was a real ass, he kicked the v-ball into the sea twice! ahaha Gim went to the sea and retrieve it, real man! hahah but it was scary though i thought someone was going to die like those in the movies.. swam at the pool played some dog and bone, gim was a bulldog! :D hahaha cedric was nice to peel oranges for us all at night ;)

Sunday
Service, went out for lunch. Went back home later, val was with me. We watched movie. Then later went for dinner. Joanne stayed over and helped me with the cards :) watched 2012,

Monday
lunch at united square, studied/camwhore at joanne's, went down to cuff road to do a survey with the foreign workers there and also talk to them. ;) it was real fun, got to learn loads more! ate with durga for dinner okay, shall stop here. too lazy to type anything else. After going for work attachment at TWC2, i have a totally new perspective of the indian workers that always hanging around at the fields in little india or any bangladesh workers. GIVE THEM A BREAK! like seriously, they are the people who build our orchard road, IR, Vivocity, whatever we have they are the ones who went through hell just to make a better life for us. And how do we repay them? Making their life worse,

The foreign workers are actually suffering alot. They come to singapore having the hopes and dreams of a better life, they had to leave their families back home and majority of them had to sell away everything they possess just to earn a better living in singapore or abroad. And when they come to singapore, they are cheated off their money or their salaries get delayed. Worst, they live in seriously bad housing conditions, with bedbugs around, smelly and stinky rooms, little food.

When i was working at TWC2 and helping out, many of this questions kept popping out. Look at the state of these foreign workers, they work so hard just to earn money, but some dont even have a dollar in their pockets. How do they survive? While we, and even I, typical people, always asking for more and more. I feel ashamed of my greediness on wanting so much of materialistic things. While these workers do not even get their basic necessities. I wish the government had better measures in ensuring the safety and welfare of these workers...

BBQ! BBQ! BBQ!
haha had AWESOME fun today for the bbq event. Though it started of on a rough start cause jerald tan became really ill and went to the hospital, then the weather was threatening the whole event, alot of last minute hiccups. But all in all, we manage to cont' the event at church instead of gerald's house tho. We played do you love your neighbour (i got rammed by claudia hurt my back) then later we played curtain call.

Next, i went to help barbeque the food. Monica and i make a great team cooking chicken wings for everyone while tearing badly from the smoke. Hahah i was the butter girl for the day, haha. then later not long, i got fired by monica and i happily went to play captain's ball with the rest. haha gerald and i were super awesome haha i had overdose of adrenaline rush during the game, and starting laughing like mad. Cant wait to play captain ball next week with everyone :)

Somehow, gerald also thought of this game that i think most st margs girls should know especially from my class or priscillia chia! hahah CHUBBY BUNNY! hahah i was super lucky that i did not get chosen to put alot of marshmallow inside. The other dudes were struggling and they all look real stupid and chubby with the marshmallow and we kept laughing and laughing and laughing...

Then later start packing up and stuff before going back home. Anyway, few words to the people at bbq.

Joanne = thank you for coming after SO SO SO much persuasion!
Jessica = For taking over everything even though you were suppose to be the one going there and relax and have fun. YOU ARE THE BEST!

TinTin= For carrying all the stuff and making super nice satay, satay man :)

wow its been a while since i last blogged, today helped out in band polka doing ushering. my legs are hurting again from the heels. Seriously, are heels really for wearing? i mean it hurts badly, and restricts your movements. Anyway, my school's band was performing in st andrew cathedral - new sanctuary today. and my, they were AWESOME! hahah it was cute, fun, and great music :) i think they did really a good job and put in a lot of effort into it. alright, im geting really tired from all the standing up today, tmr still got CIP at nations cup;) cant wait! im so sad that i missed smps netball bbq gathering.. dang!

hahah no lah, they are not annoying. Just stayed overnight at jerald's place last night. hahah still at jerald place now though. Anyways, the people around me are all using their laptops, except for Joanne. We going to play pool later on haha

Training was a killer yet again, ahah doing circuits and medicine ball has definitely pushed me to my limits. Perspiring, i think its a way of 'crying' for our body dont you think? lol. After training, met with val at orchard. Walked around and then head down to clarke quay to meet with pris. lol, we went to see her work. ;D it was quite cool.

She gets 50 bucks a day while im going for a miserable job that pays me only 10 bucks a day. hahaha and worst, everyone keeps rubbing it in! (hey im warning, dont you get me started either!) Only form of consolation: Its good experience for me ;)

After eating lunch with pris during her break, val and i decided to go back to taka to shop at artfriend, ahaha it was cool we spend the afternoon walking around artsy stuff and getting all sorts of inspiration. We also went to kino to get some stuff too. It was fun :) heh

Met up with mum for dinner at united square ate at thai express. You guys should try the barbeque beef steak its really some thing man ;D walked around before going home.

Things that i feel like getting after today:

2. Clothes from forever 21/max&more/ Hula&Co
3. Shop for xmas gifts

12:30 AM




Day 1
after sunday sch, went for lunch with my class and played pool for the first time. haha it was fun. Later went back to start camp, the whole afternoon we were just doing planning and admin stuff for the next few days programe with the kids. After dinner, we played i-maze. The game was fun, and there were some hilarious moments.Seth came up with the shoes blue print thing. aha Daniel was seriously fueled up man, he was so enthu throughout the game. Real fun, afterwards, i dint had much energy left. went to sleep. First night was super cold was shivering beside val :D

Day 2
After breakfast, did the registration counter. Played hangman while waiting for the kids to come. Next, we started the programme by singing some songs/dance and stuff that i feel super embarrassed doing while the kids are having the time of their lives. Surprisingly, on the first day, i already have a huge drama. This boy named De Lin - very notorious. He kept beating all the other kids. Finally, he whacked this boy named Brian and brian was so upset and ran to the toilet and locked himself. Thankfully, i had Jian her to help me and stuff. The guys were trying to get Brian out of the toilet, but this kid was super hot tempered. But in the end, he went home.

Anyways, we continued with our programme with the kids. hah my group was so cute! they were so hyper and fun to be with. The Amazing Race was fun cause the stations were exciting. There was like watergun games to light out the candles, put our hands into the mixture of flour, ping pong games, the kids really enjoyed them.

After lunch, we played capt ball among the campers. Haha Ashley, leonard and I made a really good team. Had lots of fun playing capt ball (of coz) At night, we watched Bruce Almighty. Played twister and Ninja game afterwards. Gosh, twister was a great game but it seriously hurts like mad. There were alot of saboing around and super painful stretching.ahah the guys were in funny positions. Helped sarah to think of Charades words for tmr's programme. Cedric, Jian her, jerald, leonard and I were thinking. Hahah and they thought of some weird and funny ones. Sometimes you've to wonder what goes on in this people's brain. Anw, super tired from doing all the preparation. I kope the sofa that night :)and was the first to sleep!

Day 3
Today was the English prog with the kids, did crossword puzzles, find the words, words within words. Next we had station games like obstacle course/taboo/charades/storytelling and pictionary. Anw, i havent tell you about the people in my group :) There was this p1 girl called Jia Xin she is really sweet and cute. She melts your heart im telling you. ;) Then there is vicky, val's sister. Haha the sporty one and easiest to handle. vicky really nice and all but she and grace are always doing something secretive. They wont let me knw. evil~ Then theres Jillian :) the smart girl in the group. She is only p2 you know? gosh, and she really nice and always helping out. Ayumi, a super duper sweet girl who is not very loud as Jia Xin. Love her smile. Lastly, Marcus. The rowdy boy in the group he only came on the 1st and last day of the prog. Cause after the 1st day prog, he somehow fell and had to get stiches on his head. But i think the fall made him even more rowdy and hyper. lol

After the kids programme, we played waterbombs at the field. 3 games the sec 4s planned = the obstacle course, the newspaper game, the paintball style game. For newspaper game, I was the one who wore the newspaper over my head and the rest of my team members were suppose to protect me from the other team. Lol it was really uncomfortable tho it kept flying up and stuff. haha but it was quite funny cause whenever i run to somebody from my team that person is super poor thing cause everyone would just bombed them with the waterbombs. Hahah Gloria was hilarious she was like no jamie dont come here. For the paintball style game, it was super fun. i bombed jerald on the first round oh joy! ;D however, 3 words- leonard's an ass! seriously, both rounds he bombed me. Obviously, i cant out run me when it was only gloria and I. But the second round i kinda talked him out of bombing me, and when he turned i wanted to snatch his waterbomb. But failed (dang) and i got bombed on the back. Should have just bombed his waterbomb man. argh. Played more capt ball later on, was not as fun tho.

Night, we had haunted house. At first i was super duper scared, i was super nervous and anxious. Jerald got pissed with me, then i got pissed at him for being angry with me. In the end, the anger overwhelmed my fear and i wasnt that afraid anymore. Hahah. Cedric was the killer in the end. Gerald was at the 2nd floor and kept saying light my candles. Gloria was the wandering spirit who freaked almost everybody. Jian her was the butler who kept asking for aluminium foil. Kheng ho was the father. Seth was the crazy brother and his acting skills was pro. kudos to that. Leonard was the prankster we just anyhow go freak people out. All in all, the game was really fun and comical. The sec 4s really put in alot of effort in that had great fun.

That night we dint sleep so early like around 4. Talked the whole night. Played twister and ninja game and all.

Day 4
Last day, did breakfast duty. Cedric and i cant make good milo. Lol. Today kids programme was the blindfold course. My team was really afraid and Jia Xin looked as if she was gona cry. Afterwards, while waiting for the rest of the team to finish we played games and all super long tho. Even i was getting restless. Next, we spread God's word to the children through the evangicube, the arrows and all. My first time i was kinda anxious. But it went well thank you God, for helping me out ;) Most of the kids are excited to come to sunday school and all hallelujah ;D

Had lunch next, then later played catching and ball at the playground with the kids was super tired. Rest of the day was pretty boring, cause there wasnt much programme lined up cause we dint watch Iron man (not that i really wanted to watch it) We played ninja instead. ahah it was super hilarious jenyi all the time was the person in the middle. Then had worship before devotions. Next we had to do mass clean up and at the same time wrote the thank you notes for all the teachers and sarah. Dinner was nice, food was good :) Not long, played few round of ninja and then we break camp. Had a good time the past few days, dint really want to go home. Thanks everyone who put in effort for this camp, and thank you all for making this camp enjoyable :D Cheers!

- dinner gathering with SNT'06 to welcome back amanda to singapore ;D hahah it was great we ate at fish & co. lots of pics to upload :D

13 Nov [Fri]
After training went with sam to amanda's church seminar. woah it was super impactful. i really felt God's presence and it reminded and relighted the fire i once had that was covered up by the shadows of my daily life. Sorry lord, for neglecting you.

14 Nov [sat]
Met with Val to go to barker's carnival together. aha it was kinda boring then i expected. oh wells got a henna and then later we went to novena to eat at a sushi restaurant :D Val stayed overnight that day

15 Nov [sun]
church, lunch with val and pris, went to stayover at nevine's place. ahah we created a sims family. and i found a speedo buddy which is veno! aha the both of us were super engrossed in watching Fast and Furious 4 whereas the 2 gundu (nevine and Nicole) were beautifying and going gaga over the SIMS game. haha. Great night! :D

16 Nov [mon]
woke up super early, well for me it was early, went to ECP. Cycled like mad, played touch rugby, frisbee, wanted to pee badly when the rest of them made me laugh like mad.

17 Nov [tues/today]
The day went i got my nose smashed by a 3kg medicine ball. Ouch? yeah i know. :( training was challenging today. And i totally embarassed myself in my epic fail cartwheel. After training, Szelin, nevine and i thought the world was going to end. Went to szelin house later.
